'Urban Form'
This collection is inspired by the city where Eating the Goober was born. The city where we grew up in and continue to love, with all its strengths and imperfections. Athens.
A city full of contrasts, details, and stories that gradually unfold. A city that does not reveal its character at first glance, but invites you to discover it through its streets, its light, and its people. It is through this relationship with the city that the ‘Urban Form’ collection was born. Inspired by architecture, geometric lines, and the rhythm of urban life, the collection translates elements of the built environment into clean forms, distinctive cuts, and versatile silhouettes.
At the heart of the collection lies the balance between structure and freedom. The aim is to create garments that are easy to wear every day without becoming predictable. Pieces that transform, adapt, and offer different ways of being worn, allowing each person to interpret them in their own way. The color palette revolves around black, grey, ecru, and white, accented by touches of berry color and coral color that act as subtle moments of tension within the city’s neutrality.
Like Athens itself, the garments in the collection do not reveal themselves at first glance. Behind their clean lines and monochromatic appearance lie details, transformations, and different possibilities that emerge through movement and the body. These are garments for people who seek comfort without sacrificing personal expression. For those who appreciate clothing with character, pieces that evolve alongside them and take on a new identity each time they are worn.
‘Urban Form’ is the result. Athens was the starting point: the doors, the staircases, the benches, the patches of green between the concrete, the passageways, the light, the raw cement, and the stories hidden among them!
