Geometric Abstraction
All of us who love painting let’s play a game. Let’s try to connect everyday objects with well-known works of art. A window with the right background can be reminiscent of a work by Piet Mondrian, a rectangular light in makeup looks like a painting by Mark Rorthko, the window shades in the office take me on a journey through the world of Carlos Cruz Diez and my grandfather’s braces can be seen in my eyes as a work by Paul Klee. You do not need many words. Let’s just play this game (well… there ‘s a curly long hair on my coat… that … reminds me of a detail from a work by Kandinsky.)
This collection is dedicated to painting and the special role that art in general plays in our lives.
“What art is, in reality, is this missing link, not the links
which exist. It’s not what you see that is art; art is the gap.”
Marcel Duchamp
